Welcome
The Navy shipbuilding industrial base must incorporate modern technologies and innovative concepts to accelerate manufacturing, provide flexibility in the acquisition of spares and critical components, and deliver ships and submarines at greater speed and with greater maintainability.
The NAVSEA Engineering Directorate (NAVSEA 05) requests your recommendations on new methods, processes, and technologies that can significantly benefit the delivery and repair of our ships and submarines through reduction in schedule, manpower, or cost; improvement in first-time quality; or greater availability of parts or spares.
NAVSEA 05 will coordinate with your organizational point of contact for the details of available data that demonstrate the viability of your concept or technology. NAVSEA 05 will further work with your organization to determine feasibility for initial implementation of your concept or technology based on these data and to identify additional data needed for full scope implementation.
NAVSEA 05 is committed to incorporating your concepts and technologies that enable the Navy shipbuilding industrial base within new and existing standards and with scalability through the accumulation of supporting data. Please enter your recommendations in the Navy Improvement Suggestion Form available on this website.
If updates are needed to an existing technical standard that do not significantly reduce schedule, manpower, cost or availability, but will improve usability of existing specifications and standards, you are requested to provide input using the Technical Standard Change Form available on this website.
We appreciate your support and look forward to continued mutually beneficial collaboration as we advance the capability of our warfighters!
